JAPANESE FOODS

In the first article about the attraction of Japanese style meals, I have already introduced an overview of  it. But today I would like to present about Japanese style meals’ Zensai– which I want to make the most.

Zensai can be also called Sakizuke (means appetizer) which is served at the beginning of meals. People will easily misunderstand that Zensai is just concerned about vegetables through the Kanji it represents. But Its not only about vegetables, interpreted  as“ the-first-served-dish”  it will make the customers look forward to the next dishes.

Besides, Its obvious to bring out the sense of seasons by using seasonal ingredients. And because this is the first-served dish so it cant be something with strong flavor or strong smell. Spices are only used moderately.

Zensai shows the talent of the cooks by the way their colors and shapes are elaborated and beautifully dished up. Generally there are only 3 or 5 kinds of ingredients are mixed together with a small quantity and prepared in bite-sized parts.

Attached with this article is a photo of what I made. Please have a look.

When I first saw the Zensai of Japanese style meals I was blowned away by it’s beauty and exclaimed that “Do such beautiful things really exist?”Since then I have been going out with my friends to eat it many times.

If you haven’t eaten this amazing dish before, I strongly recommend!

Please have a try!
