In my country we have musch traditional food. The famous traditional food in our country is Sate. That is tradisional food which is have much variation. You can found sate in every district in Indonesia. This food maked from meet which is sliced. Sate is estimated to emerge from street vendors who are around Java in the 19th century, in fact sate became popular in that century along with Arab traders, gujarat india and other Muslim traders who came to Java island. The meet to make sate is chiken and cow. But you can find the Sate from rabbit and another material like bird or pig.

 

Sate is one of the best performers In 2011 there was a survey of one of the international institutions, CNN, which conducted the world’s best food survey.  Sate at 14th position in the event. Each region in Indonesia also has its own distinctive satenya, for example sate Madura with peanut sauce and Padang satay with yellow or orange thick sauce. So when you take a walk to an area, you will find satay with flavor and even different raw materials. Usually sate is composed of small pieces of meat inside a wood / bamboo puncture. There are also satay that looks not like regular satay, for example sate lilit which looks like a lump of dough in a stem of lemongrass.

 

In my island, Lombok island. You can find sate from fish. This is very famous in my island. The name is sate Tanjung, because this sate from the place which is call Tanjung. Sate Tanjung is not derived from beef, but from fish meat. So for you who again diet or avoid eating meat, really suited to eat satay Tanjung. Fish used from skipjack or fish langoan. Tanjung’s sate can consumed by lontong or rice. You certainly will not be able to stop eating sate cape. It feels really amazing. The marinade permeates perfectly. Your tongue will feel the sensation of a blend of the savory taste of meat and coconut milk and the spicy flavor of the spices. To find sate cape you can find it at Pasar Tanjung or Tanjung Terminal. So, if you come to Indonesia, specially to Lombok Island, you must try this food.
