Here we will explain “ STEP 1 Make Resume”.

Basic application documents are “Rirekisho”(timeline summary of your employment following graduation from your university) and “Shokumurirekisho”(the document showcases the desirability of your employment experience in detail).

Only the people who passed the document screening can get the chance to get interviewed.

Understand the keys to creating these two documents and make a better first impression!!

①The tips to write Rirekisho.

HR staff will see a lot of student’s Rirekisho when they are recruiting candidates. Therefore, focus on writing impressive contents in ” Qualification and Licenses”, “Special Skills, Favorite Subjects”, “Motivation of Application” and “Comments” to get attention from them!

★Qualification and Licenses・・・Write the official qualification acquired in your home country(write the country in parenthesis) and in Japan.

★Special Skills, Favorite Subjects, and etc.・・・It is necessary to write about your language skills here.

For example “Language (Chinese, English) etc.

★Comments・・・Most of the time, motivation for working in Japan can be explained better using episodes. Write the short summary of your story and what you want to do in the company you apply to, and how you can contribute to the company by your own words.

※What you write in the Rirekisho will be asked in the interview. Check the details (the date of your academic and employment history etc.) to make sure there are no any errors in numbers and grammars.

②The tips to write ”Shokumurirekisho”

If you have work experiences, you also need to submit “Shokumukeirekisho” which will explain your job histories in detail.

Here are 5 points you could write about in the shokumu keirekisho

What kind of employer? (overview of industry & company)
What kind of work? (department, job category, details of work tasks)
What kind of efforts and performance? (attitude to work, ability to learn)
What kind of results achieved? (outcomes, list of works you did)
What kind of work experience do you hope to achieve in future? (enthusiasm)

You might think that shokumu keirekisho and rirekisho are very similar. However, shokumu keirekisho solely focusing on your job histories. Writing your work experiences in detail on shokumu keirekisho will give you a better chance to appeal yourself.
